My name is Chris Dykstra.
I am a 46-year old American male.
Each day I take another step in the inexorable march towards death. For the most part, it is a joyous march. Still, the ending is not a secret.
I have been politically active lately. I am not sure how one can be alive, american, and a member of a functioning democracy and not have every single hair on the back of your neck standing fully at attention. I blog regularly at New Patriot.
Here are the top headlines:I also blog at, I Chris Dykstra, but not nearly as often. I blog, Therefore I am. Even though I know I am often shouting into a well, it helps to work out the arguments for social justice "on paper."
In addition to Warecorp, I have recently started Zanby.
Ghost Town is a fascinating website. It is the story of a woman who regularly rides through the dead zone created by the Chernobyl meltdown.
When things are unclear, I often write a haiku.
Sometimes I drink too much coffee.
When our identity changes, we are often issued a badge.
It is occasionally neccessary to wear a sombrero.
There are several axioms
which I consider to be true:
- The percieved volume of a baby's cry
- How much control people exert over their domain
of influence
- How lines are formed
- The secret to getting a good parking spot
- My definition of ignorance
Something scary that was manufactured by a child.
Here is the true difference between men and women.
I belong to Echo, an online community based in New York.
I have relatives, believe it or not. Here, is my cousin Greg's website.
